The annual awards, with headline sponsor PwC, showcase and recognise best
practice in project management. The winners will be revealed at a black-tie awards
ceremony on 29 November 2018 at the Dublin offices of PwC on Spencer Dock. For

Speaking on the National Project Awards, Ireland Chapter of PMI President Pat
Lucey said: “Due to the phenomenal feedback so far this year, we have extended the
deadline for entries out by one week. We encourage those working in project
management across the country to enter and highlight the exceptional work being
done in the discipline.”
There are eight categories open for entry — Professional of the Year, PMO of the
Year, SME Project of the Year, Private Sector (non-SME) Project of the Year, Public
Sector Project of the Year, and Project Management for Social Good (both
Corporate and Community). The awards include one honorary nomination for
Distinguished Contribution to Project Management.
Award winners in their respective categories will be considered for the PMI Global
Project Management Awards.
Sponsors of this year’s National Project Awards include PwC, Aspira, Datalex and
Institute of Public Administration. The independent judging panel comprises of nine
leading experts drawn from public and private sectors. The independent verifier for
the judging process is Matheson, one of Ireland’s leading law firms.
Membership of the Ireland Chapter of PMI has grown by 22% in the past two years,
to almost 1,400 members. There are currently over 50,000 employed in project
management across Ireland, in sectors such as IT, public sector, construction,
pharmaceuticals and manufacturing.
