Strategic Operational Planning for Results

This is an interactive workshop, lead by Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir, CEng FIEI FIET PMP and Principal of Scatterwork.  

The event will be free to our members, however the registration will be limited to 12 participants.  Each registrant is expected to participate and must select a current project to focus on during the session.

Meeting Objective

The objective is for the participants to identify practical project improvements and insights which they can apply immediately.  As a result, the session will be run as a meeting so that all participants can engage through video and chat. 

The content will focus on the actual project issues of the participants. 

  • Deasún will present overview and workshop objectives 
  • Review your current Assignments/ Projects/ Initiatives etc
  • Evaluate your Issues, Challenges & Concerns
  • Identify solutions and responses
  • Determine next steps

Meeting Preparation

Each registrant is asked to identify a current assignment / project / initiative etc to focus on during the workshop.  All registrants will receive an email with a link to Deasún's calendar - to select a time to discuss your chosen assignment with him in advance.  If you do not have an assignment, you will be de-registered from the event.  


When you attend you will receive 1 Technical PDU.  We will auto register you for the PDU.

All approved registrants will receive an email with the link to join the Zoom Meeting on January 13th.

Dr. Deasún Ó Conchúir


Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the IET & IEI and Principal of, a Swiss-based project consultancy. Four decades of Project Consulting and academic leadership roles, with engagements as Project and / or Programme Manager, PMO, Consultant and Advisor for blue-chip multi-nationals including: LafargeHolcim, DSM, Maersk, General Electric, Abbott Laboratories, Bausch & Lomb, CERN, HP Enterprise, Sun Microsystems, Ericsson, SwissRe, Zurich Financial Services and the European Commission etc. 

Experienced in over 40 countries and numerous sectors including: Telecom, Construction, Financial and Professional Services, Oil & Gas, IT, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Food & Drink, Manufacturing and Vehicles, Higher Education. He speaks four languages (Deutsch, English, français, Gaeilge). Also leads university onsite audits in Project Management globally for GAC, after nearly a decade of global PMI roles. Early adopter in the 1970s of EU support for international educational programme design (with IRL, B and LUX). 

Skilled at interfacing with staff at all levels and to helping them to resolve their own issues. Brings a depth of expertise and thought leadership as a trainer and coach, keynote speaker and author of “Overview of the PMBoK Guide”.
