Project 1 - Expansion of Ireland's International Airports
Ireland's international airports in Shannon, Cork and Dublin (Terminal 2) have completed major expansions, growing passenger numbers and creating international gateways that connect Ireland to the world. Innovations included building the first full United States Preclearance Services facility in Europe. The expanded international airports now host more than 35.7 million passengers per year and play a vital role contributing to a sustained, healthy Irish economy, whilst vastly improving the travel experience for our Irish citizens and those visiting our country.

Project 2 - Guinness Storehouse
This project converted the fermentation plant at St James' Gate into the Guinness Storehouse, to create the Brewery's iconic visitor centre. Opening in 2000, the Guinness Storehouse has become a major tourist attraction - consistently listed as one of the most popular visitor attractions in the country. It also provides an area with training and conference facilities and has generated a 'must-see' experience.

Project 3 - Introduction of Smoking ban
Smoking in workplaces in Ireland was banned on 29 March 2004, making Ireland the first country in the world to institute an outright ban on smoking in enclosed workplaces. This project was intended to protect people from the effects of second-hand smoke and required a lot of planning and management of stakeholders in order to reduce risk of heart disease, cancer, emphysema and other smoking-related diseases.

Project 4 - Luas light-rail system
This project constructed light-railway lines and service within Dublin stretching from one area to another. After going live in 2004, subsequent extensions have resulted in additional rail lines spanning across the city and facilitating easy access for visitors and commuters alike. The Luas has created an efficient and convenient method of transport for members of the public

Project 5 - Redevelopment of Croke Park
With an expanded capacity of 82,300 since 2005, the new Croke Park is the third-largest stadium in Europe and is a national institution in Ireland. As well as being the home of Gaelic Games, Croke Park has hosted unforgettable performances by the Irish Rugby and Soccer teams. The tour of the stadium has become a big attraction and the conference facilities are an important and attractive location for the region.

Project 6 - Regeneration of Dublin Docklands
This major project of physical, social and economic regeneration in the East side of Dublin was launched in 1997 and has boosted technology, amenities, tourism, education, transport, business and retail activity in the area. The area has been rejuvenated with the Financial Services Centre and the attraction of 'high-tech' companies - it is now a vibrant hub for international business, with significant employment.

Project 7 - State Motorway programme
The first stretch of Motorway in Ireland was built in 1983 and today the State Motorway Programme has dramatically reduced travel times for business and leisure travellers and for the freight/logistics industry. It has seen the cities of Cork, Limerick, Waterford and Galway connect to Dublin by a continuous motorway, incorporating tunnels and bridges, and has generally improved access between cities and regions, making road travel faster and safer.

Project 8 - Wild Atlantic Way
The Wild Atlantic Way is a tourism branding project launched in 2014 that focuses on Ireland's Atlantic coastline. The 2,500 km driving route passes through nine counties the length of the island, stretching from Donegal’s Inishowen Peninsula to Kinsale in Co Cork with 157 discovery points, 1,000 attractions and more than 2,500 activities. The project aimed to create a world class, sustainable and un-missable experience brand that engages and energises the visitor so that they become powerful advocates and leaves them wanting to return for more.
