This is the first joint IMCA - PMI member CPD event with two components delivered by UCD MSc in Project Management program faculty, as follows:
‘Is your Risk Register fit for Purpose’, IMCA member Joe Houghton, Director, UCD MSc in Project Management programme will discuss the ‘standard’ risk management process that most firms use and highlight a potentially more useful template that he has developed over 10 years of work in academia and consulting.
This will be followed by Robert Manning, UCD MSc in Project Management programme faculty who will present on‘A seasoned PM practitioner’s perspective on PM academic studies’ Robert will discuss the benefits of adopting an academically enlightened perspective on PM practice.
The venue is room E201 in the Smurfit campus will open with at 6pm with a 30-minute networking opportunity with refreshments.

Presented by Séamus McGrath
Séamus is a Director in PwC’s Advisory Consulting | Operations Excellence group. He is dual-qualified as both a Scientist and an Engineer with advanced qualifications in digital signals processing, business, accounting, and corporate governance. He spent the early part of his career with Applied Materials, Intel, IBM, and Siemens in hi-tech engineering design and management roles globally and settled back to Ireland in 2004. Since then, Seamus worked in the Private Equity sector prior to his move to PwC where he is very happy! He continues to work with clients on operations related challenges, particularly in the Banking and Financial Services sector where the he has designed and led many operating model transformation programmes. Séamus' current interest in in demystifying RPA as 'a cure for the common cold', and helping clients to embrace digital transformation as 'a force for good' using process intelligence as the catalyst for change.

John McGrath is the Course Director for the MSc Project Management at TU Dublin.
John has worked as a Project Management consultant for some of largest organisations in the world. His track record includes over 250 global companies, government agencies, state enterprises, Engineers Ireland, the United Nations, the London and Rio Paralympics and the World Bank.
John’s passion is in building project management competency within organisations. This usually starts with a PPM Maturity assessment, road map, handbook, SOP, template and process development and a series of training, coaching and consultancy engagements.
