The Ireland Chapter of PMI is excited to announce the launch of the AI Innovation Hub, a collaborative space aimed at fostering innovation, learning, and development in Artificial Intelligence. This initiative, sponsored by emagine, is designed to bring together professionals, academics, and enthusiasts to explore AI’s role in driving change across Ireland and what this means to the project profession. 

To mark the launch of the event, we are hosting a dynamic panel discussion featuring industry leaders and innovators who will delve into the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence. This engaging session will provide unique perspectives on the current and future landscape of AI, offering attendees valuable insights into how AI is reshaping the future of work for the project profession.

Panelists:

Alan Smeaton Alan was appointed to the Irish Government's AI Advisory Council in January 2024.He also is Professor of Computing at Dublin City University and a Founding Director of the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics. His expertise is in using AI and machine learning in the analysis of all kinds of visual media, and in the application of AI to learning analytics. Alan is a member of the Royal Irish Academy, and winner of the Academy's Gold Medal for Engineering Sciences. He is a former Board member of Irish Research Council, was a member of the inaugural Scientific Committee for the EU COST program, is a Fellow of the IEEE and of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association, and a Principal Fellow of AdvanceHE. He is a winner of the ACM SIGMM award for outstanding technical contribution to multimedia computing, communications and applications. 
Emma Daly Emma is the Director of Advisory and Training at emagine Consulting in Ireland. A qualified project manager and member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2008, Emma oversees the delivery of training and advisory services to clients while driving the growth of these offerings within the broader emagine group. With over 13 years of experience in project management, she brings expertise in PMO setup, change management, and strategic business consulting.
Kevin Kelly Kevin is Head of AI and Automation CoE at Health Service Executive. He has over 30 years of experience working in technology, the first half of which was spent in the private sector with SME and multinational companies before joining the HSE in 2004. After serving in various HSE ICT roles, Kevin took up a position as Digital Innovation Lead with HSE Health Business Services in 2015. After overseeing successful pilots of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in 2019, he established the RPA Centre of Excellence in 2020 and is currently heading up the newly established AI and Automation Centre of Excellence within HSE Technology and Transformation.
Marie-Louise Marshall Marie-Louise is a Leadership and Organisational Consultant, she focuses on the need to transition to an emerging workplace based on valuing human contributions. For more than 20 years she was Head of IT and part of the Senior Leadership Team that grew the Servier Ireland Industries (Pharma Manufacturing), from 30 staff producing 18 million boxes to a site of almost 500 staff, producing 175 million boxes. She was promoted to a corporate role as Deputy Director, and for 6 years drove the Digital Transformation Program for the Industrial Division of Servier (13 factories in 11 countries).
Declan Foster Declan is the newly appointed Head of the AI Innovation Hub and an ireland Chapter of PMI board member. He is an industry leader in project delivery and change management and is ranked in the top 10 Thought Leaders in project management by Thinkers 360. He has worked in project and change management for over 25 years. He is the co-author of the award-winning, best-selling book - Humology: How to Put Humans Back At The Heart of Technology. Declan has an honours degree in Artificial Intelligence and has recently graduated from Oxford University with an Executive Diploma in AI for Business. He is the founder and CEO of Project Pal AI.
