Lidl Zero Maynooth: Ireland’s First Net Zero Energy Supermarket
We’re delighted to host an online presentation followed by Q&A with Jack Fitzgerald, Senior Construction Manager with Lidl, focusing on the delivery of Ireland’s first Net Zero Energy supermarket in Maynooth, Co. Kildare – a milestone in sustainable commercial construction.
The store is designed to generate as much energy as it consumes annually through on-site renewables and low-carbon design principles, setting a benchmark in Irish sustainable building and demonstrating how sustainability can be integrated into capital project delivery.
Jack Fitzgerald is a Senior Construction Manager at Lidl Ireland, with over seven years’ experience in civil engineering and construction. A Civil Engineering graduate of NUI Galway with a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management from Trinity College Dublin, he has progressed through roles including Design Engineer, Site Engineer, and Construction Manager, delivering large-scale retail projects across Ireland.
