Special event focused on members who have joined the chapter in 2016/2017. We have registered new members already. The event is now open for registration for all other members for the remaining places. Currently fully booked. Please register to go on waiting list. Location: Hilton Hotel, Dublin 2. 6.30pm - Networking 7.00pm - Seamus Collins of Velopi - The Sixth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide 8.15pm – Close 8.30pm – New Member Drinks & finger food reception Seamus Collins The Sixth Edition of the PMBOK® Guide is on the way The Project Management Institute regularly updates its various project management-related standards and the Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) is no exception. Through constant revision, the Guide maintains its relevance and reflects emerging trends in project management. Since 2013 the fifth edition of the Guide has been in use and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® exam has been based on this material. However, the sixth edition is scheduled for publication in Q3 of this year and the PMP® exam will be based on the sixth edition from Q1 2018 onwards. We cannot deliver any courses on the new Edition until it is officially released. This presentation to the Chapter is to point out the major changes to expect in the sixth edition. We will discuss the improvements to address gaps that you may have felt with previous editions. While there is a significant amount of new material included in this new edition, there have been efforts to make the text easier to read. If you have been thinking about doing the PMP® exam, but have not got around to it, it might be worth considering passing exam before the end of this year. Or as a result of this discussion, you may decide to wait. The attending PMP’s will help you decide!
